Meet Our Founder:
Born to artist parents, Morgan grew up in a creative household where a love of craftsmanship from Jamaica and her Father’s Polish background instilled the knack for hands-on work. However, the pursuit of a career in the arts was risky as there was no clear path towards stability. Morgan used her creative talents in teaching and at non-profits, but felt the need to explore. After a transformative trip to Ghana in 2012, she did what any soul in search of purpose does when returning home from a trip abroad; quit her job, sold all of her stuff, and moved there a year later.
While pursuing a career in education & international development, she fell in love...with handcrafted design and the textile industry in Ghana. Through lessons in sewing and fashion design, she discovered a way to merge her background in non-profit management with creative expression and a facility for design.
Decades later, Morgan's passions find harmony as artisans in Ghana see their businesses flourish and Jamaican design becomes an integral part of the brand. Thanks to Geometric, these interwoven narratives are shared, inching us closer to a world where small businesses flourish and the enduring beauty of handmade art prevails.
