Batik prints are made from soft, cotton & rayon blends. These brightly dyed fabrics are produced by skilled artisans in Jamaica using wax-dyeing techniques. Melted wax is applied to the fabric with a carved block sponge. Once dry, the fabric is dipped into the dye until the color and patterns are achieved. Each piece is hand-dyed and sewn in Jamaica, making it unique and unrivaled by any mass-produced factory garment. Slight variations in color and print occur naturally, giving each piece its unique character, as it's hand-dyed and crafted with care.

These fabrics are delicate and should be washed by hand in cold water or on a delicate machine wash cycle. Air dry and follow care instructions for dry-clean only specific pieces.

      GEOMETRIC IMPACT

Geometric operates outside of fast fashion. We produce intentionally in Jamaica, where our collections are designed, dyed, and constructed in partnership with women-owned businesses and skilled textile producers. Select collections are developed with trusted partners in Ghana and Turkey, expanding our shared approach to heritage craft and collaborative production.

Our collections are created through close collaboration with artisan producers, preserving hand-dyeing techniques while strengthening local production ecosystems. By working directly within the communities where our textiles are made, we support sustainable livelihoods and shared prosperity across the value chain.

We prioritize fair pricing, transparent relationships, and long-term partnerships. Many of the women we work with lead independent workshops or produce from home, building flexible, meaningful work within the textile and fashion sector.

Geometric is committed to design that honors the hands behind it — and to a production model that values people as much as product.
